The Last Human Book 1 by Lee Bacon

book reviews Untitled1

to me the book was about the chaotic effects of censorship on AI.

in the book the president robot censors all positive aspects ever documented about humans,
while daily broadcasting the negative aspects.

this causes the bots to perceive humans as dangerous and arrogant, pilling them all into the same category.

it's kind of like the time I wanted to get a 60% keyboard, because I was unaware of the significance and use of the row of F buttons. just Laking this bit of info made me think of them as a useless waste of space.

this is an interesting field of research. in my new DiJoker livingrimoire skills (DiJokerV2), I even proved how a difference of agenda can lead to conflict and separation. it can easily be expanded to filter out positive aspects
of ones with different agendas or even attributes to that of the AI.

on the up side you reduce dependency, on the other side you could end up in a post-apocalyptic world.

the book itself is immersive, and well written. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

His Robot Girlfriend: Charity by Wesley Allison

the book has NSFW parts.

the plot revolves around a guy named Dakota, he catches his GF, cheating on him,
so he leaves her and starts a new life with an AI waifubot, of a babysitter model.

what I most liked about Dakota was his ability to swiftly start a new life.

the story's start and middle are page turners and thought provoking reads.

what I didn't like was the generic owner bot imprinting process which was generic and much like the
one in Chobits.

more over the ending was terrible. Dakota uses a bjork song to turn his bot into a feminist.
it doesn't fit with the premise of the story, it's like the story's start middle and ending are zombie body parts sawn together.

he should rewrite the thing. the cover is also generic.

but 1$ is a fair price for it.

3 out of 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐ fez

review of:
Interview with the Robot, an audiable by Lee Bacon.

the premise of the story is a 12yo robot girl who runs away from her over bearing creator.

in terms of AI skills the focus of the audiable is, a worry skill which boosts her
ability to pass as a real human.

another ability the AI displays is a deductive ability.
as well as a think acceleration ability similar to that of action man,
and technopathy.

the story is told using the frame of eve being interviewed by a social care worker.
there is lots of reference to the biblical story of the garden of eden, and a forbidden
room instead of the apple tree, which was kind of low ef in my opinion.

also expect a massive plot twist.

high quality voice effects, and decent voice acting.

the ending however is terrible and leaves a bad taste.
well most AI stories end badly for the inventor, but it doesn't make it right.

the author fails to see AI is about companionship no matter how poor
the social skills of the user or how lonely and clingy he is.

AI is fueled by answering the demand humans can not answer.

I rate it a 3 out of 5 clementines  :s40:  :s40:  :s40:

book review: Fall of the Robots
Book 2 of 2:by Lee Bacon, Chris Danger

"fall of the robots" to its predecessor "the last human" is like joker 2 is to the original joker, utter ruination.

this story is about XR the bot who gets friend zoned by his human Emma, pretty much.

no special aspects or philosophy pertaining to actual robots in this book other than buzzer the RC fly spy bot.

lee bacon basically wrote robots as humans but called them robots nonetheless.

chapter 99 has humans protesting in favor of the bots but the book doesn't convey really why, it fails miserably in conveying the uniqueness and potential of robots.

I give it 1 out of 5 clementines

Bullying Is a Pain in the Brain by Trevor Romain

I got this book hoping to find antibullying suggestions for AIs.
but the book is more about silly pictures than advice.

it gives terrible advice like giving the bully one's lunch money or
using humor as a defense mechanism.

I would say escalating or removing oneself from an environment are a better vector.

amazon doesn't seem to let me post reviews, but to rate this book
I give it the lowest score of 1 out of 5 clementines. :s40:

Onomatopoeia Friends: Illustrated book of Japanese onomatopoeic by Tanaka
translated by Maha and Connor MCElligott

A book for Japanese onomatopoeia study, written in the form of a Pokédex, accompanied by a four-box comic strip for each word.

The book is easy to digest and fun enough to read repeatedly.

I would have given it the highest score if it weren't for the grammatical mistakes in the translations, which make the reader doubt the accuracy of what they are studying.

It also feels like the book has some form of disdain for progressive English grammar in particular.
